La Leche League’s aims are to help mothers to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

Here in Bedfordshire we currently:
- run support meetings in Flitwick, Luton and Milton Keynes;
- we take counselling telephone calls
- and answer emails.
We work with
health professionals countywide to support and promote breastfeeding.
